An inclusive workshop environment

We are dedicated to creating learning environments where every participant feels respected, supported, and able to contribute to a Juicing The Lemon workshop authentically.

Our workshops integrate inclusive and flexible practices to meet the diverse needs of all learners, including those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, or other cognitive differences.

Designed around your people and their needs

Clear and Accessible Communication

Pre-session information: We provide clear agendas, objectives, and prep materials in accessible formats, allowing participants to engage at their own pace.

Plain language: Our communications avoid unnecessary jargon, using clear and concise language to enhance understanding.

Diverse Learning Modalities

Multi-sensory approaches: We incorporate a blend of discussions, interactive activities, visual aids, and hands-on exercises to cater to various learning preferences.

Supportive materials: Written instructions complement verbal explanations, and visual aids are designed with high contrast and clear fonts to aid comprehension.

Flexible Participation

Varied engagement: Participants can contribute by speaking or writing, with online content available for those who prefer to review key concepts in advance.

Pacing and breaks: We structure our sessions to include regular breaks and allow participants to process information at their own pace, reducing cognitive overload.

Consideration

Environmental Awareness: We advise clients to choose venues with suitable lighting, minimal noise, and quiet spaces for sensory comfort.

Personal Comfort Items: Participants are welcome to use items such as fidget tools or noise-cancelling headphones to enhance focus and comfort.

Inclusive Content Delivery

Accessible Materials: We provide the PDF workbook in a digital format that can be expanded for easier readability.

Alternative Formats: Our learning videos, which cover key workshop content, can be listened to as audio-only for those who prefer auditory learning.

Supportive Facilitation

Awareness of Neurodiversity: Our facilitators are mindful of neurodiversity and strive to create an environment where everyone feels valued and supported.

Participant Feedback: We actively seek and value feedback from participants to continuously improve our inclusivity practices.

Making it work for everyone

We recognise that everyone has different needs, and we’re committed to making practical adjustments so each person can take part fully. If there’s anything you’d like us to be aware of ahead of the workshop, just let us know and we’ll work with you to support it.

By adapting to different ways of thinking and learning, we create sessions that are more engaging, effective and work for everyone.
