Full Circle Feedback with Insights

Most teams agree that feedback matters, but the rhythm of day-to-day work means it often slips to the bottom of the list. This simple round robin activity helps teams make feedback a regular, energising part of working together, with an Insights twist to bring every colour energy into the mix.

Encourage a little prep beforehand. It saves time in the room and makes the feedback more thoughtful.

How to run it

Once a quarter, use part of a team meeting for a short feedback round robin. Pair people up and give each pair six minutes, three minutes each way. (See AI Prompt suggestion below)

In their three minutes, each person shares two things:

  • Something they really value that the other person has done recently
  • Something they would like them to do differently to make working together even better

Every colour energy gives and receives feedback differently. When people flex their style, the conversation lands better and the relationship strengthens. Encourage each person to tailor how they give feedback to the colour energy of the person they are speaking to.

If you are giving feedback to a Fiery Red colleague
Be clear, concise and action focused. They appreciate directness and practical next steps.

If you are talking with a Sunshine Yellow
Keep it upbeat and conversational. Recognise their enthusiasm and creative ideas.

If your partner prefers Earth Green energy
Show warmth and empathy. Link your feedback to shared goals and appreciation for their effort.

If you are speaking to a Cool Blue
Offer specific examples and focus on clarity. Give them time to reflect on what you share.

Keep rotating pairs until everyone has connected with everyone else. For a group of eight people, that means eight short conversations per person, taking around 48 minutes in total. You can shorten the rounds or split them across sessions if needed. When every voice is heard, trust grows and feedback starts to feel natural.

Tips for Success

  • Set the tone by reminding everyone that this is about learning and appreciation, not correction

  • Keep each conversation short and balanced between positive and constructive

  • Model it yourself so people can see what good looks like
Make it a habit. When feedback becomes routine, it becomes easier, kinder and more useful

When feedback is shared in full colour, it feels human, specific and energising.

Six minutes is all it takes to build confidence, connection and a stronger feedback culture.

Prompt

I’m running a feedback round robin for [X] people. I want everyone to meet everyone else exactly once.

Please create a round robin schedule showing each round and the pairs for that round in a clear table format.

If there’s an odd number of people, include one “observer” slot each round so everyone still takes part equally.
